The interdisciplinary facility Kiel Life Science – Centre for Interdisciplinary and Applied Life Sciences at Kiel University (KLS) – represents the institutionalization of the research focus life sciences at Kiel University. It coordinates and promotes the interdisciplinary engagement with life science and medical themes. This research focus at Kiel University is organized by various bodies.

The steering committee has nine members.
